Sally Ann Corbo, Ed.S, RN, APN, C, CNAA |

Sally is the President of Epicare Associates, Inc. She received a B.S.N. from Seton Hall University in 1979, M.A. from New York University in 1983 and an Ed.S. Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University in 1993. She has an extensive teaching background and was the Director, Nursing Education at The New York Hospital - Cornell Medical Center in New York from 1988-1996. Previously she was on staff at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey and New York University Medical Center. She also served as Clinical Faculty for JCAHO and adjunct faculty at Seton Hall University - Stillman School of Business. She was active in the Seton Hall Univeristy Alumni Association serving as President of the College of Nursing Alumni from 1989 - 1991 and President of the University Alumni from 1995-1997. She as given numerous presentations at national conferences, published several journal articles and maintains a private practice as a psychiatric advanced practice nurse. She is certified by the American Nurses Association as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and Nursing Administration Advanced. |

Marianne Howard Siewers, MS, R.N, APN, C |
 |
Marianne Howard Siewers has a diverse background in psychiatric and mental health nursing.
She is the Vice President, Clinical Programs for Epicare Associates, Inc. She worked at
Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York for twenty-five years in a variety of roles including Director of Behavioral Health Nursing. She has also served as faculty for the
Borough of Manhattan Community College and maintains a private practice as a certified
Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health.
She teaches extensively and is certified in the areas of Bereavement and Crisis
Intervention, both of which are of special interest to her. She has also published several
journal articles on the subject of crisis intervention. |

Steven C. Backfisch |
 |
Steve is an attorney with twenty years of experience in civil litigation, over
fifty trials in State and Federal court; supervision and management of Appeals in many
areas of law including employment, product liability, castrophic personal injury, real
estate and commercial litigation.
Steve is a graduate of St. Bernard College and Seton Hall University School of Law.
He is Partner in the firm of Lindabury, McCormick and Estabrook, PC located in Westfield,
New Jersey. Steve is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association
and Essex County Bar Association. He is the past president of the Arthur T. Vanderbilt
Inn of Court, an organization which mentors young lawyers.
Steve has given numerous presentations at national and regional conferences focusing on
employment law. |

Nancy L. Bonnet, MSN, APRN, CCRN
Nancy is an Advanced Practice Nurse in Adult Critical Care. She is a graduate of Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing and Seton Hall University where she earned a BSN and MSN. She is also a certified critical care nurse. She has worked in a variety of critical care settings and positions at Mountainside Hospital Atlantic Health System including Critical Care Advanced Practice Nurse and Nurse Manager. She is actively involved in conducting research in critical care and professional organizations. |

Jeannette Coane, MA, RN
Jeannette is a graduate of Mary Immaculate Hospital School of Nursing, Long Island University, C.W.Post College and Columbia University, Teachers College. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University, New York in the Department of Community and Mental Health Nursing. In addition to her academic enterprise, she has an extensive background in Hospice Nursing and Palliative Care. She is certified as a Hospice Trainer, Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse and End of Life Nursing Education Graduate Consortium (ELNEC). She has given many presentations on end of life issues. |

Joanne T. Southern, MA, MSN, RN |

Joanne has been a member of Epicare faculty since January 2001. Prior to joining Epicare,
she worked in a variety of psychiatric nursing roles for over ten years at Carrier
Clinic in Belle Mead, New Jersey. Her most recent position was Coordinator of Staff
Education and Development. She also participated in JCAHO Compliance Policy Review, and
worked on many team building enhancement projects. Joanne is a graduate of Mercer Hospital
School of Nursing, Trenton, NJ; Regents College – University of The State of New York,
Rider University and The College of New Jersey. Additionally, she is a member of the
American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. |
